1101 - Commercial Building Fire Safety Code

Commercial buildings must be outfitted with the following equipment:

• Minimum of 1 Fire Extinguisher

• Smoke Detection System

• Carbon Monoxide Detection System

• Water Sprinkler System

• Minimum of 1 unobstructed emergency exit

For the purpose of this code, a commercial building is defined as any property which contains employees that perform a business function.

The Fire Marshal service may perform an inspection of the property and building once every 4 calendar months to recertify the building's safety status.
